LAIA Eskola, the school for equality and women’s empowerment in Álava, is organizing a talk and discussion to address the situation of women in STEAM programs.
To mark February 11, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, LAIA Eskola organized a talk on the situation of women in STEAM programs.
Our speaker was Inma Tazo, an industrial engineer and professor at the School of Engineering in Vitoria-Gasteiz. She holds a Ph.D. in Feminist and Gender Studies from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU). Her primary area of study is the relationship between gender and engineering. The discussion was moderated by Mari Luz Guenaga, Ph.D. in Computer Engineering. She is a professor and researcher at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Deusto and the head of Inspira STEAM.
This activity is part of the collaboration agreement between the Provincial Council of Álava and the Inspira STEAM program.
